Title

Two Day

DESIGN
INTENSIVE

for

BUSINESS OWNER'S WHO ARE READY TO EFFORTLESSLY LAUNCH THEIR DREAM SITE WITH NO TIME WASTED.

With Two Day Design Intensives, you will receive the same quality of work you would expect in my signature design packages, but it will happen all in 2 (8 hour) days at a flat rate so you can get launched fast!

After introducing design intensives to my offerings at the beginning of 2020, I've found they are my absolute favorite way to work with clients! It really allows me to get into that "Flow state" and work on one project at a time, going all in, while also giving clients a dedicated timeframe to commit to getting launched. The response has been amazing, and design intensives are now my most popular offering!

The information below is for custom website & showit template customizations. Branding design intensives are available on a case-by-case basis. Please fill out the application form to see if your project will be a good fit.

WHAT'S
THE COST?

$4,000 TOTAL

split into two payments. $2000 due upon booking, $2,000 due the day after the intensive is complete.

brand clarity workbook

After booking, you'll receive a link to your Brand Clarity workbook that you can fill out in the time leading up to your intensive date. This workbook is an essential tool in ensuring we both have a clear understanding of your brand style, goals, audience, and website goals. Thought provoking questions will allow you to truly think about how you want your brand and website to make your audience feel. It will then serve as a guide for me to build out your brand and develop a website strategy before your intensive.

The Strategy Call is a chance for us to talk though anything that I may need further clarity on before diving into your intensive date. This will also be the time when I invite you to our shared project space, where we will collaborate on your project throughout the duration of it. During the call, I may have some additional action items for you to complete, depending on your project scope.

Pre-intensive strategy call

Before diving into website design, it's important that there is already a strong branding foundation in place. If you already have a strong brand with a brand style guide, I'll just fill in any gaps as needed for the webiste. If you have a simple logo, but no font book or complete color palette, I'll ensure we have those details nailed down before implementing them on the site. Sometimes I may make suggestions to refresh your logo or add in additional variations, marks or graphics as well to ensure its well rounded and gives us plenty to work with for your website design.

Brand Build Out

Along with your brand build out, I will also provide a full Creative Direction for your website that will start to lay the groundwork for how we will build your website. This will include an overview of your brand, your audience, website focus goals, ways we can align what your audience is looking for with the actions you want them to take, a sitemap, visual inspiration, and a mockup of how I'm envisioning your fully built out branding can all come together on the web before officially diving into the development.

Website Direction & Strategy

For Template customizations, I can typically build out a 6-8 page website during our 2 day intensive. If we are building a completely custom site, it will be a little less since I won't already have the framework in place to build from (usually 4-6 pages). Legal pages (such as privacy & terms) don't count towards this page count. Nor do small pages like form submissions and thank you's. We can talk through a page plan during your discovery call and again on our strategy call.

4-6 Page Website (Custom design)

or

6-8 Page Website (template customization)

After the second day of your design intensive wraps up, we'll enter the final edits phase. This is when you can really dig through the full site and let me know if you notice anything that needs to be updated that you didn't catch before.  You can also make small design refinement requests to anything we worked on during your initial intensive time. Typically, this phase ends at the end of the week that your intensive takes place. During this phase, I'll also be going through and performing a "flight check" across different devices to ensure all links, actions,, forms, etc.. are working as they should.

Once our project wraps up, I"ll be ready to help you launch whenever you give me the go ahead! This means that I will reach out to the Showit team on your behalf to get the process started, take care of pointing your domain to the new site, and also help work on any issues should they arise during the launch process to ensure its all an easy, seamless experience.

Once your new website is complete, I'll be creating some fun graphics to share and announce the launch on social media. This will include a couple of static, instagram feed sized graphics as well as an animation scrolling through and showing off your brand new site! I'll share on my instagram and provide you with the graphics to share on yours as well!

training portal

In the weeks following your intensive, I'll put together a Training portal filled with videos outlining exactly how to make edits yourself that are specific to your new website. This will include things like how to update your portfolio, how to add new blog posts, updating announcement banners, and whatever is applicable to your specific site and needs.

Following your intensive, you'll enter a 30 day support period where you will be able to reach out if you have any questions at all about how to make updates to your new site, or it you come across any issues that need to be addressed. I'll record new training videos if necessary to add to your portal as well. Additionally, the Showit support team is always available to you any time, and their customer service is top notch, so you'll never be left hanging!

Curious if we can really design your dream website in two days?

As a seasoned designer, I have a streamlined process to ensure that your day runs smoothly and efficiently, while offering you the high-quality design services that you deserve and accomplishing your goals. Of course, I have to be real about what I can accomplish in our time together and that will vary by project as well as factors like timely feedback and revision rounds, but we cover this in your initial discovery call before booking as well as a strategy call before your intensive so that we can prioritize tasks and make sure we make the most of your design intensive days. And if you need more, we can always chat about booking in additional time.

See below for some of the websites created during design intensives:

BEAUTIFULLY BALANCED

Andrea wanted fresh new branding and a new website for her personal brand. She wanted it to feel like a space where people could go to not only learn more about training with her, but also truly have a place to connect with her in a more personal way. I created a full branding suite and customized the French75 Template from Tonic for her website.

PETROCELLI HOMES

Jennifer & her father have a real estate brokerage serving both the Bay Area of San Francisco and the Treasure Valley area of Idaho. They wanted a fresh new website that would convey the values and quality of their business while merging the two areas they serve seamlessly. We worked together to build out her brand with some extra details, subtly refine her logo and create a custom website with MLS integration.

SCE REAL ESTATE

Sandra was ready for a fresh new website after re-branding and went with Tonic's French 75 Template. She came to me to customize it and really bring her brand to life on the web. We added a lot of custom sections and MLS feed integration to tie in her real estate listings and the end result was absolutely stunning!

FLORET & VINE

I worked with Kate a few years ago on her branding and website for Floret & Vine. After adding some new offerings to her services, it was time to overhaul her website design and elevate her branding a bit more. I customzied her old branding slightly and added in some new, fun details and started fresh with a brand new custom website.

FILL YOUR FRAME PODCAST

After working with Jillian on several other projects, she came to me for full branding and a custom showit website design for her podcast, Fill Your Frame. We created a simple site to effortlessly showcase her latest episodes and allow visitors to listen directly on the site.

MANY
MELANS

For Many Melans, I designed Kaylee's full beachy branding suite from scratch as well as a completely custom Showit website design that integrated both a recipe plugin and her Rewardstyle shop the post and shop favorites features.

DIDN'T I JUST FEED YOU

Stacie & Meghan already had a fun logo and a few graphics for their brand, so I built off of that to create a few new elements and select a color palette and typography treatment for their brand that we could carry over to their website design. They purchased the Margarita template from Tonic and I customized it to their brand and added in some completely custom pages to fit their needs.

DIVINE ORDER

For this interior designer and home organizer, I got to create her full branding suite and a completely custom website. I built out the brand with a ton of fun and joyful elements that also represent balance and alignment with a bit of a boho feel. The end result was a stunning new online space for Sarah's brand to live where customers can book in consultations with her directly on the site.

BRITT JONES CO.

Design intensives are also a great option if you just need some new pages or sections added to your website. I created Britt's full branding and website as a custom project about a year ago, and as her event planning business has grown, she's introduced a new side of her business where she is planning and organizing styled shoots. She needed several new pages on her site to house all the info about the styled shoots, showcase upcoming events, and allow for people to apply to take part in the events directly on her site. The beauty in design intensives is being able to get your services and ideas out in the world quickly so you can continue growing and moving forward.

UPTON REALTY

After starting her real estate business, LeighAnn was looking for a full branding suite and a custom website that felt more fun and quirky than your average real estate website. We worked together during her design intensive to create a full branding suite of fun logos, colors, and patterns and then put it all together on her brand new custom showit website.

Focus Creative

Kassady already had a strong branding foundation in place, so I just built it out a bit by building on her color palette and selecting a typography treatment. From there, I created a custom website to showcase her Commercial Photography licensing program and courses.

Jess lombardi

Jess Lombardi offers a range of photography services and styles. She really wanted to be able to showcase her full portfolio and varying styles while ensuring everything still felt cohesive and playful. I developed a full branding suite and custom website where we could beautifully showcase her variety of offerings and styles.

Katie
& Alec

During Katie & Alec's intensive, I took their existing logo and elevated the styling of it a bit to feel more unique and high end. I also added on some additional marks and crafted a full color palette, type treatment, pattern design and some additional fun elements. I then used their existing website as a base and updated the styling of everything for a cleaner, more beautiful website that matched their beautiful work.

PK
Global

Patti came to me for a fresh new website to represent her luxury travel brand. We immediately connected on our love of Gray Malin and Slim Aarons. I built out her brand with a color palette update and typography selection and then moved into designing a completely custom website filled with luxe touches and photos of beautiful places and experiences all over the world.

Covington manor

After LeighAnn opened her Bed & Breakfast, she needed a beautiful and strategic website. I built off of her existing logo to further build out her brand with some new elements and then created a custom website complete with MEWS booking integration so that visitors could book directly on her website.

FLORA EX MACHINA

Alle was looking to move from Shopify to Showit when updating her website, and she found the perfect template, Adriatique, from Tonic Site Shop that she wanted help customizing. After building out Alle's brand just a bit, I moved on to customizing her Tonic Template and integrating Shopify Buy Buttons for her products.

Tiffany had already done an amazing job customizing the Nicole template from EMShop herself, but eventually, she started to feel like it no longer reflected her brand and wanted a designers eye to really elevate both her branding and website. I created a new branding suite for Tiffany, inclusive of logos, colors and typography and then updated her full site to create something that aligned better with her brand and business.

Honey Gem Creative

Brooke already had solid branding for Honey Gem Creative, so there wasn't really anything I needed to do to build out her brand. This allowed me to jump right into customizing her template, which was the Margarita template from Tonic. I also created some unique/custom sections for her site to further make it her own and ensure it had everything she needed.

Wanderful
co.

Kirsteen is a solo travel expert offering courses, a magazine, and tons of other educational resources for anyone looking to start their solo travel adventure. She purchased the Paper Plane template from Tonic. She already had strong branding, so I just built it out a bit with color palette and typography selection and then implemented it all in her beautiful new website.

The HER Effect

For The HER Effect, I started by creating a full new branding suite inclusive of logos and marks, color palette, typography selection, and additional graphics. Once the branding was finalized, I moved into customizing the Paper Plane template from Tonic to their new branding. The result is a cozy, welcoming space where they can beautifully showcase their story, offerings, and podcast.

Ready to Get Your Dream Site Launched?

SWEET NOTES

Don't take our word for it. See what past intensive clients have to say.

“Shelby was an absolute dream to work with. Immediately we connected on ideas for my blog and branding. She exceeded every expectation about this project. I would recommend working with her to anyone who asked!”

- kaylee m.

manymelans.com

”Shelby is truly a magician. She took my lifeless website that was truly not aligned with me at all or my rebranding, and the vision in which I was headed- and she completely transformed it into something that embodied my energy to the core. Shelby is detail oriented, passionate, and not to mention talented, driven, and an overall kind-hearted and beautiful soul to work with. It was truly my pleasure and was worth every single dollar and every dollar x1000. She was communicative, fast responding and went above and beyond during our time together to deliver what was BETTER than I ever could have expected. Shelby, I am SO incredibly grateful and I feel SO much more confident and in love with my branding and business because of our time together, and I cannot wait to share with my audience and to ALL who need a website designer. Shelby is your girl! I cannot imagine working with anybody else after our time together. THANK YOU!!!!!”

- tiffany c.

tiffanycheung.co

“We have been blown away by Shelby's talent, kindness and professionalism. We came in with a rough idea of what we wanted and she ran with it making our website more beautiful than we ever could have imagined! Along the way she was so responsive and open to any ideas we had. Every step of the way she was so organized and had an incredible workflow that made things so easy for us.

Since we launched people keep complimenting us telling us how high-end and luxurious our new site looks. She also helped us with our business cards, Facebook cover and Instagram icons helping give our brand such a gorgeous finish. If you're on the fence about booking her, take this as your sign to DO IT! You won't regret it!”

Frequently
Asked
Questions

answer:

When are design intensives available?

Design Intensives are available twice a month on a first-come, first-serve basis. They take place on a Wednesday & Thursday.

Will my project be rushed since you are doing it all in two days?

answer:

Absolutely not! As a seasoned designer, I have a streamlined process to ensure that your intensive runs smoothly and efficiently, while offering you the high-quality design services that you deserve.

answer:

During our initial discovery call , we’ll talk about your website goals and determine if the design intensive is the right fit and I’ll be completely honest with you about what we can realistically accomplish in the two day intensive session. If the two day intensive isn't the right option, we can look at customized package options.

Additionally, in our Strategy call that will take place after booking and prior to your design intensive, we will revisit your goals and talk through our priorities to ensure we are on track to accomplish everything we hope to.

What if you can’t finish it all in two days?

answer:

The 50% deposit is not refundable. It is a retainer to hold your project start date. However, you will have the option to re-schedule with written notice at least 7 days prior to your intensive start date.

Is the 50% deposit refundable?

answer:

I wish I was a wordsmith who could whip up some amazing copy for you, but I defer that to the experts! I'm always happy to provide recommendations for copywriters and during the design process, I will likely make some suggestions. However, all website copy is to be uploaded by the client before our Strategy call.

Will you write my website copy?

answer:

Should you need to change the date of your intensive for any reason at all, you must do so at least 7 days prior to your scheduled date. This allows me time to adjust my schedule, and fill the space with another client. Your deposit is non-refundable but it can be used towards your new project date.

Can i re-schedule my date after booking?

answer:

Yes, if customizing a template is a part of your intensive date, you will need to purchase the template yourself and provide me with the Share Key to add it to your website (unless you've already added it).

For template customizations, do I need to purchase the template?

answer:

Be prepared and trust me as the designer/expert. The more prepared you are, the easier it will be for me to access the content I need and implement it. This means all copy, imagery, and additional things as needed for your intensive  are organized, clear, and ready to go.

Trusting me as the designer/expert that you hired means not micro-managing the design process with endless refinements and uncertainty. If you don't trust me, the design intensive is not a great option for you.

How can I make sure that the design intensive runs efficiently?

answer:

Send me a message here to chat about it further!
